I was wondering if the angelfish were going to eat the eggs... actually they are larvae right now and they are moving. Do I need to move them into a different tank if I want them to live or is it bad if I seperate them from the parents... And I would appreciate any more information anyone would have!!!!

*A 20 gallon high tank is perfect for breeding pairs of angels. They will spawn on the floor of a tank, in a large flowerpot or on the leaves of a broad leaf plant. However, the preferred method is to put a piece of slate about 3 inches wide and 8-10 inches long leaning at about a 45-50 degree angle in the tank. They will pick at the slate until it is clean and then lay their eggs. Angels’ will lay from 100 to 500 eggs at a time, maybe more.

Angelfish will readily lay eggs, but hatching them to grow is a lot more difficult. Immature breeding pairs often eat their eggs within 24 hours; you need to to remove eggs to a separate breeding tank after spawning. Treat the eggs for fungus and supply plenty of aeration, and the eggs will hatch.

If you are fortunate enough to get a pair of adults, you will find that once the eggs are laid, both parents take turns in fanning the eggs. This helps to prevent waste materials from settling on the eggs and fungus growth. Sometimes an adult will eat an infected egg, so that it does not affect the other egg. Both sexes will guard the eggs AND the fry! I have had success at breeding angels but it can get out of hand! At one point I had to find homes for over 100 angelfish! I now have about two dozen!! Good Luck & have lots of fun!

Angelfish parents are very protective, and they will move the fry around the tank to make sure they get good oxygen. Usually angelfish parents won't eat their fry, but you need to make sure that they're well fed, just in case. The parents will take good care of the fry until they get big enough for the other fish to quit trying to eat em.The parents will also eat eggs that have died, have parasites, or are defective. The parents should be with the eggs, because angelfish cement their eggs to plant leaves, or to the side of your tank or decorations. The parents will not eat all of their fry unless they are starving. Good luck!

im no fish expert, but im pretty sure if your angelfish will protect them and they might eat the eggs. Remove the the eggs place it in a tank free from fish. Place an airstone beside the site where the eggs have been laid. This will keep the eggs free from debris. Dose methylene blue to prevent fungus from developing over the eggs. Don't be surprised if most eggs turn white. They're simply infertile. No need to remove the parents.

THE BASICS

AQUARIUM/100L per pair

WATER TEMP.from25-28c

PH/6.6-7.5

PLANTS(especially amazon plants for egg laying)

REPROCUCTION;easy

HATCHING/48hrs@28c

FOOD/freeze dried worms&live(encourage egg laying)

PARENTING/both parents look after eggs.(dont remove)

ABOUT48hrs later, the female helps the larvae to come out of the eggs. She can lay300-500eggs.

Parents airate the eggs&will pick away any that are bad or not fertalised(so don't worry)they are good parents.(some may have fungus/they'll remove them)After48hrs of incubation@30c the young fish point their noses outside.Parent may help chew the membrane so they can pop out into the aquarium.THE PARENTS WILL LOOK AFTER,ONCE HATCHED&chase away predators(best kept alone though)The young hoard will only be released when all aparent danger is removed..

YOU DOING GREAT!!!

FEEDING THE BROOD:

After they have absorbed the yolk sac&free swimming stage they need to be fed.Newly hatched baby brine are great.Add a multi-vitamin solution to them to curb any possible deficiencies that will hinder development.Distribute food4-5xa day(small amounts)

SECOND FOODS:ground,bloodworms,prawns,flake ect,syphon waste everyday.

This way fry will grow quick&be ready for breeding from the following year.

There:BASICS/hope it helps&good luck.

considering which you have basically one, they are able to't be fertilized consequently they gained't hatch and have toddlers. there isn't any male Angelfish interior the tank to fertilize the eggs. you are able to depart em interior the tank, another fish will consume the eggs.
