I bought a new aquarium with 1 oranda and other 2 normal goldfish. I felt sorry for oranda and bought a new one too so that they stay in pairs. Next morning when I woke up I found out that my old oranda goldfish wen has been eaten. I thought it was the normal goldfish but as I noticed carefully it was the new oranda that ate my old orandas wen. I am new at that.. Help me... I don't want to let it die... I don't know anything about medication either.what am I supposed to do??

1) Get the sick fish into a quarantine tank or storage container with 1 tsp/gallon aquarium salt.

2) Do an 80% water change on the main tank.

3) If the salt does not help in 24 hours, start an antibiotic like Kanaplex. It had antibacterial and anti fungal properties. Melafix may not have enough muscle. I would also treat with Metro+ in this case at the same time.

Keep both tanks free of ammonia and nitrite. Use an API liquid test kit.

Bringing new fish in can bring all kinds of illness. It's best to quarantine new fish and plants for thee weeks minimum to ensure health before you infect a whole tank. Fish get picked on when they are weak (usually due to illness).

Commons should not be with fancies. This causes stress. They need an absolute minimum of 20 gallons each and double filtration. Without this, the water will be very hard to keep pristine and the cycle may not balance. If you are cycling the tank with fish, they have no choice but to suffer through it. Keep ammonia and nitrite under 1ppm if it is cycling. Don't put the sick fish in, even if he gets better, until the tank is cycled completely (0 ammonia/nitrite, any level of nitrate).

Good luck!

Your fish has not been eaten. You have a water quality problem. Likely due to overcrowding. The wen tends to rot when water quality issues. Goldfish can do fine by themselves. But you neeed 30 gallons for 1 fancy goldfish, and an additional 20 gallons for each additional fancy goldfish. You need a 80 gallon tank to keep all of your fish and a filter with 400-500 gph. Power filters work well. Use airstones and and airpump to. Also, your sick ornada should get treated for ulcerations and bacterial infection. Preferably in a seprate tank from the other fish. Overfeeding will also cause water quality problems. Feed the fish no more than what they will eat in 2-3 minutes, once a day. Also, being fancy goldfish, your oranda's need sinking food low in protein. Hope this was helpful. Also you can go to the website wet web media for help on how to heal your oranda with the wen problem. A vet that specializes in fish may also proove helpful. API MELAFIX might also help your ailing fish.
