Can the color of a fish affect the way it does or does'nt adapt to it's environment when transferred?

Bought a "black" Mollie and a "white" Mollie. Black one died within two days. White one looked bad for a moment but is still kicking. Had the fish for a week now. Bought another black one and it died within 24 hours. White one is still kicking. Put other fish in and they're all fine too. None are black or real dark.

It should not make a difference unless it is pale when you purchase it because it is ill , them maybe it might.
