I was walking at the pet store one day because I'm going to pick my own marine aquarium and I saw 2 eels and the people said they were moray eels and they look nice but when I found out they eat other fish I wanted one so badly because I love predatory fish. I can't afford a big tank so I have to know what is the smallest tank that I can have if I'm going to keep a moray eel.

A snowflake eel, Echidna nebulosa, only gets a few feet long and is not an active swimmer. A 50 gallon with a decent rock pile can house one happily forever.

Most other morays are either very large, more active, or both, and then the 100+ gallons is required with exact minimum depending on species.

What kind of Moray? yes some get 10 or 12 feet long but some also only get a few inches so it will depend on the type. Most morays will do fine in less space than similar sized fish would.

Moray eels are one, if not the largest type of eel. They can grow up to four meters long. You would need a huge tank in order to properly care for one, along with enormous rocks for them to swim through and tons of sea salt.

I would not recommend one as a pet, as they can be very dangerous and they are wild animals.

a million-canister clear out rated for douuble filteration,a skimmer rated for double the dimensions and a sump!! 2-Any style incredibly.i purchase waiting made water on the keep 3-A gravel siphon on the appropriate of the tank is what i'd reccomend! 4-acrylic glass is merely right for all marine aquariums as its stronger then glass!! 5-a p.h of 8.3 is merely right. 6-stay rock is critical in any tank.i'd reccomend a million lbs per gallon!! 7-i'd positioned heavy products on the appropriate of your aquarium to maintain him in place! 8-Lancefish-squid and lobster are enjoyed by using moray eels! 9-Algae does not impact them in any respect!! good luck!!

I suppose that for a couple years something around 100 gallon would be good, eventually you won't be able to keep good water quality even at that size. I've seen people keep baby eels in 50 gallon tanks, but they didn't do well.

Bring the eels back, unless you don't mind having your other fish killed.
